What is Udyam registration?
Udyam is the Government of India registration for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It replaced the earlier Udyog Aadhaar process in 2020. Registered MSMEs become eligible for benefits under various government schemes.
Can I register for Udyam directly on the government portal?
Yes. Udyam registration is available directly on the official Government of India portal at udyamregistration.gov.in and is free of government fees. We help businesses that prefer expert support with classification, NIC code selection, and follow-up.
What are the investment and turnover limits for each category?
Micro: investment up to 1 crore and turnover up to 5 crores. Small: investment up to 10 crores and turnover up to 50 crores. Medium: investment up to 50 crores and turnover up to 250 crores. These limits are subject to periodic government revision - we check the current rules when we work on your case.
What documents do I need?
Your Aadhaar, PAN of the business (or proprietor), and basic business details like bank account, activity type, and address. GST registration is required for businesses above the GST threshold. We send a precise checklist after the first conversation.
How long does the process take?
Most applications are issued within 1 to 3 working days once the documents are ready. Cases where the business has multiple activities or address changes can take longer.
